Swimming Pool Liner

A liner does two jobs at once. It waterproofs the pool and it is the surface you see and stand on — so the shell behind it can be blockwork, concrete or an FRP panel system and the finished pool looks the same either way. The sheets are cut to the pool on site, hot-air welded into one continuous skin and dressed into the coping.

How it is fitted

A geotextile felt goes down first to protect the membrane from the shell behind it. The liner is then hung, welded and trimmed, and the fittings — inlets, returns, lights and skimmers — are cut and sealed into it one at a time. A pool is normally ready to fill within a few days of the liner reaching site.

They differ in thickness, in surface and in how much pattern they carry. Underneath, every one of them is the same reinforced PVC membrane.
