Things to Keep in Mind for an Indoor Swimming Pool
Ventilation, dehumidification and treatment all change indoors. A checklist before you build.

An indoor pool offers year-round swimming and total privacy — but the enclosed environment introduces challenges a garden pool never faces.

Use
The pool’s purpose comes first. Children’s pools are shallower; adult pools can be deeper. For seniors and those with arthritis, a hot-water wave pool is ideal — and cost varies with these choices.
Types
There are two primary categories — ready-made and constructed pools — plus subtypes such as endless pools, wave pools and overflow or non-overflow designs.
Alternatives & features
Add features for exercise or relaxation — rain showers, fountains, waves, and hot and cool water — to lift both function and visual appeal.
Tiles & waterproofing
Blue mosaic glass tiles are preferred for their ocean-like appearance. Waterproof the foundation before tiling to seal the floor and prevent leakage. Indoors, also plan ventilation and dehumidification to protect the structure.
